Connected people.
Humans are created for relationship and connection. Sadly, many people around the world grow up in environments with limited connection and emotionally, physically, or otherwise unhealthy relationships. More to the point, they feel disconnected. Without positive connection, we can’t thrive. And when we can’t thrive, we lose hope. The Stoplight Approach is committed to connecting children in their homes, schools, and communities, helping them become self-aware of their emotions, their behaviour and how it affects those around them, and provides tools to help them foster healthy relationships.
Caring communities.
Whether you live in the suburbs, the ghetto, the country, or the city, we all live in a community, and community is what shapes us. If that community is unhealthy, we become unhealthy. The Stoplight Approach is driven to increase emotional and mental health of communities (with a special interest in schools and homes). It helps to create proactive and responsive communities that builds empathetic and resilient children, and solve problems and create solutions that help the community to thrive.
A kinder world.
If people are what make up a community, then communities are what make and shape the world. If the people inside those communities are empathetic and resilient, and those communities are proactive and responsive, then we can make the world a safer place for everyone to live, learn, and thrive. Imagine a world where all children feel safe, loved, and connected. Imagine a world where you don’t feel you need to walk on eggshells every time you enter your workplace. Imagine a world where you don’t fear to fail, but where you fail to fear. That’s a world we think is worth fighting for. How about you?
